Dungeons &
Dragons
I looked over the character sheets I use the most, starting with Dungeons and Dragons, adapting it for A5 paper and a binder format, with particular attention being given to having as much of the information you regularly need to reference within a single spread. The next most complex was the sheet for spells, to allow them to be prepared, keep track of spell slots, concentration and ritual casting. The first draft was successful for the trip, with a few adjustments after the fact and I moved onto other systems.

Vampire: The Masquerade
The Call of Cthulhu
The next challenge I undertook was the character sheet for Call of Cthulhu. In this case the challenge was more than just translating a single page, letter design to an A5, multi page design. It also called for a redesign of the character sheet to improve it's functionality and usability. The fifth edition of Call of Cthulhu had great storytelling element, but the function of the character sheet and handbook left a fair amount to be desired. This involved cleaning up the vitals, custom skills and moving combat traits out of the skills and into its own section.
